Naomi Psalm Music Video “Ink”

When producing a music video you really want to capture the spirit and mood of the artist’s music and voice. Sometimes this requires a literal translation in the video, and sometimes it requires a more abstract approach. With this particular music video, we applied a mixture of the two methods.

During pre-production discussions we learned that this song was about the artist dealing with personal pain by putting ink to paper and writing music. We took this concept and drew it out into a mix of literal and abstract visuals to tell the story of her song. We decided to go with two locations for the shoot, one representing her internal struggle with her pain, and the other to identify her releasing that pain through her music.

One of the primary challenges with this production was the budget. We had to make very little go a long ways. This was another reason for going with two locations and a single-day shoot. The result is a video with great visual presence that really tells story of the music.

City of North Miami Beach 90th Anniversary Video

GreenTeam Inc. required a new promotional video to really showcase the company’s strengths. After several pre-production meetings we decided the best approach would be a video driven by interviews.

We produced this trailer (as well as a full film) for the 90th anniversary celebration event for the City of North Miami Beach.

Gear Setup

This was a very tough interview situation, given the noise of animals (pet hospital), the size of the space, and the lighting and background. Add to that the fact the interview needed to be two people at the same time and we had to get creative within the tiny exam room made available to us.
